Spreading Some Christmas Cheer

Someone might have sent this to you already. It's the worst performance of Holy Night we've ever heard.

O Holy Night.mp3

Merry Christmas!

Advent Season

Regarding the Overhang Christmas jingle you'll find below:

Before you say "This doesn't sound like Overhang", keep in mind that Another Hole For You to Crawl Into, Overhang's debut album (in case you forgot already), is all about advent! Almost every song speaks about and feels like something very big and life-changing is coming. This "on-the-way" feeling is very inspiring to this band, which is why we were really excited to work on new material last night during rehearsal. We will be moving out of our practice space by the end of the month and are still looking for another one, so in the meantime we are using the time we have to discover new musical things as a band.

Because Joel was sick with bronchitis for the last 3 weeks, an illness we all shared after our busy September-through-November-to-remember, we haven't played music as much as we'd like. But illness didn't stop us from working on a 45 second Christmas jingle for 93 XRT, a Chicago radio station that's looking to promote local bands by playing their Christmas greetings. We had to introduce ourselves as a band and give a plug for XRT, not a problem since we like XRT and we happened to have a Christmas song already in the works. So, here it is...a jingle for the season:

Overhang Christmas.aiff

We submitted it on Tuesday night. We'll let you know if it gets on the air.
