90 minutes of OVERHANG

We are very excited for our upcoming show at The Big Horse Lounge. We're playing three sets that will make up an hour and a half of music. Mixed in with our own songs will be several covers including songs by Nick Cave, The Rolling Stones, Bob Marley, U2, Nick Cave, NIN, Weezer, Pedro the Lion, Lou Reed and more. If anyone in the Chicago area can make it at 11:30pm May 29, we'll make it worth your while.

A poem

A few months ago, a girl at one of our shows came up afterwards and said our music reminded her of this poem. I finally got around to finding the poem and she was right.

God's Grandeur

The world is charged with the grandeur of God.

It will flame out, like shining from shook foil;

It gathers to a greatness, like the ooze of oil

Crushed. Why do men then now not reck his rod?

Generations have trod, have trod, have trod;

And all is seared with trade; Bleared, smeared with toil;

And wears man's smudge and shares man's smell: the soil

Is bare now, nor can foot feel, being shod.

And for all this, nature is never spent;

There lives the dearest freshness deep down things;

And though the last lights off the black West went

Oh, morning, at the brown brink eastward, springs--

Because the Holy Ghost over the bent

World broods with warm breast and with ah! bright wings.
